About us
Empower was set up by Michael Virgona in 1998. Our office brings together the combined talents of our project managers, designers, programmers, marketing and PR professionals and copywriters. We call on colleagues around Australia and Asia when their particular expertise is required. We love what we do and we believe it shows in our work.
While building websites has always been our focus, we branched out into copywriting and public relations in 2006. Not the most obvious step perhaps but when Michael’s wife Gail took maternity leave from her career in public relations and marketing, we decided to put her to work. Gail can develop copy for your site or provide public relations strategy should you need some help communicating with your customers both in the online and offline world.
Empower is a small web development business that has mastered the art of thinking big. We move easily between small and simple projects for start up businesses to more complicated projects for large companies who need their website to communicate with various audiences.
We are project managers, programmers, designers, marketers and PR professionals who’ve been working in industry since 1998 and we’ve picked up a few tricks along the way.
We don’t believe in just making websites look good. They have to work hard for your business and meet the expectations of internal and external customers.
